About SEIU Mercy Faculty Forward
SEIU Mercy Faculty Forward is a proud part of SEIU Local 200United, committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of adjunct faculty at Mercy University. Our mission is to secure fair wages, job security, and better working conditions through collective bargaining and solidarity.
As a key player in the Faculty Forward Campaign, we are part of a national movement that has successfully organized over 50,000 faculty members across more than 50 campuses in the United States. Our efforts are focused on ensuring that adjunct faculty receive the respect and compensation they deserve.

Mercy University Chapter
In 2019 the Adjunct Faculty voted by a 4 to 1 margin to unionize. Mercy Faculty Forward is part of SEIU Local 200 United and joined part of SEIU Faculty Forward Campaign. In 2022 the first Collective Bargaining Agreement was signed between the Union and University.
The Local Union

SEIU NEW GOALS
ORGANIZE ONE MILLION NEW MEMBERS BY 2034In her remarks to SEIU members, Verrett unveiled her ten-year vision for SEIU, including an ambitious goal of uniting one million new members by 2034 by winning bold sectoral organizing victories that raise standards for workers across industries and lift workers who have historically been excluded.
